HALL GROUP HISTORY
Hall Construction Services Limited was established in 1986 by brothers Stephen and Neville Hall and who continue to have an active role in the management of the business. The Company whilst working on projects throughout the United Kingdom has maintained its roots by continuing to have its Head Office based within County Durham, North East England.
The family run business has over 30 years experience in undertaking a wide range of construction and civil engineering projects from earthwork and sea defence schemes to complex multi million pound design and build projects. Halls are ideally placed to bring a wealth of expertise, professionalism and value-engineered solutions, combining tangible cost-savings, high quality project completion and a widely experienced workforce.
Hall Construction fully owns and operates several subsidiary companies including;
- Rushyford Transport Services Limited, founded in 1987 a transport and haulage company operating throughout the UK.
- Coal Contractors was purchased 1997, working mainly within Scotland on various open cast coal mines and land restoration services.
- Eppleton Quarry Products Limited founded in 2001 is based in Sunderland with secondary operations in Middlesbrough and Scunthorpe.
- Riddochhill Developments Limited specialising in the re-generation and re-development of brownfield sites.
Hall Construction Services Limited currently employ approximately 200 direct employees and has built up an enviable track record of experience across both the public and private sectors and undertake work across the UK on a wide ranging portfolio of activities. The level of our expertise and specialist knowledge is an undeniable guarantee of quality to our customers.
HCSL deliver a wide spectrum of works including reclamation and remediation of brownfield sites, earthworks, industrial, office, supermarket and distribution buildings, ever growing recognition for our works for coastal and river edge protection, infrastructure, road construction, business parks, mineral extraction, mineral processing, haulage and the building of specialist sports stadia.
Many projects have been carried out in ‘live’ situations – working with clients to ensure minimal disruption to their day to day activities. This has involved careful planning and co-ordination of the works with full consultation and good communications with all parties involved. We also have long standing arrangements with both local and national based key sub-contractors and suppliers – many of whom we have worked with for several years. This allows us to provide our clients with a complete, first class competitive service. Major industrial/commercial schemes have been carried out for both private and public sector clients.
